dear all,

Hope you are doing well despite the Covid crisis.
I have a question related to recruitment procedure. Once you had attempted the writing tests, what is the average delay before you receive news?
Enjoy your day.
J.

Hello Julien
I received the invitation to an interview 5 weeks after the written test. I think the delay might also depend on the type of test and the agency. Mine was 1 question with several subquestions to be answered in an essay-type format with UNODC.

Hi, Julien!

In my experience in recruitment, there's usually 1 to 3 months of gap between the exam and the interview. But in my personal experience, it took more than 6 months before I got the interview invitation. In the case of OIOS, since they have a different administrative and reporting line, I assume recruitment is being done at UNHQ. It could mean faster or a little bit longer, given the telecommuting arrangement nowadays.

But then, if you did not pass the exam, you might not get any feedback - only until you receive the 'regret' letter (which could take 6 months to even more than a year). There are only a few times I'm aware of that the UN notifies an applicant who did not pass the exam. But most of the time, you don't get any feedback. So if it's already months since the exam and no feedback yet, most likely, you did not pass the exam.

In the meantime, keep your hopes up! But don't put your life on hold just because you're waiting for feedback. You could keep on applying and looking for potential job opportunities for you. All the best!

Hi Jane27,
Thank you very much for your reply. Of course life is not on hold, lot of opportunities, lot of things to do after 2(long) months lock-down.

Enjoy.
J.

Dear jane27,
Thank You for your valuable information. On 05.06.2020, I too attended an exam for P3 & P4 level tests with OIOS. I gone through it, a little bit very good. Let's wait for results. If you can, please guide "how to be ready for interview"?

Regards
Mrs69

Hey everyone!

On 27 May I took a test for a P3 with UNPD in NY. I am waiting for news and was getting impatient but after reading your comments I know that I am not alone ;)

Good luck to everyone!

Hello,

I also attended an exam on 05.06 with OIOS for a P4 job position.

Did you receive any feedback? Did they call you for the interview?

Thanks
