Update: They called me for another interview in 2 days for 30 minutes. Let me know if anyone have any tips for me. (:

This seems like great news! In my experience that's to make sure that some others who didn't have the time to sit through all interviews have a chance to talk with you. Expect the interview to be a mix of a repeat of the previous interview + some additional new question - I would guess it may be slightly less formal. But do let us know how it was and good luck!

Did the interview. I was a bit negative following the interview because the officer kept cutting me and didn't seem to like anything I had to say. But I got news that I was accepted.

The funny part was in between the waiting I was proposed to another location by UNV (to a hardship post). I am actually more tempted by this hardship location as it's what I envision my UNV experience to be, but after the interview experience I had, I didn't want to risk another interview.

So all ends well. waiting for the official offer and to see if I have to redo all onboarding process again (hopefully not).

Thanks everyone again for listening.

Congrats! I am happy you have been selected again. I get what you mean about UNV experience and hardship locations (Volunteering is almost associated with remote areas). Hope your onboarding process goes well too!

Congratulations Starryhindsight!!!
This is so good news. This has given me hope to look forward for the two proposed assignments. One thing am learning from you is the virtue of patience. All the best

Yes, papa, I am really happy and positive, and looking back I can really see since the retracted offer they did all they can to move me to a different location (even though I was highly anxious having given my resignation notice right before). The other positive thing is that I am now being recruited into a slightly higher position than the original offer. Now, with UNV the pay is the same across all position, but being recruited into a higher post gives me motivation and a bit of pressure to working well, and again as HOP says what volunteering is also all about.

Hey Sebastian, starryhindsight and team,
I got an email from UNV stating that am seriously been considered. Am requested to submit my documents plus medical. When it comes to medical how am I supposed to go about it?

After being sent that email, you will send in documents, emergency contact details, country of departure etc then UNV will share with you a formal offer, which details the medical
procedures and other forms you have to fill (finance, etc). With the medical, you first subbmit first a survey, I think it is a MS3 and then someone from the UN Medical team will let you know if you need to go for a medical checkup with a UN doctor. But this should all be written with the official offer letter shared on the UNV platform.

Congratulations!
