Hi, Does the UN offer positions with the option of telecommuting/working remotely and being on-site only when needed? I was advised of, for example, editing positions like this, but have not as of yet seen any posted. Is there such a thing? I have a Masters in International Relations and have interned at a UN mission, plus I have several years of work experience, plus speak some French. I do have specific goals relevant to my field, but I live too far from the UN headquarters. Am I wasting my time even considering this? Thank you.

Yes, there are jobs like that. Typically they have "home based" in the title / duty station:

I'm Sebastian from the UN Job List. I know about the UN Job List and also a little about the UN in general.
