Bank accounts and payment of salary

Post by baraf » 17 Apr 2020, 13:59

Hi guys. I was wondering, how does salary payment works in non-family duty stations? For instance, is it possible to divide the payment of salary to two different accounts so that the family back home can benefit as well? Even for family duty stations, there must be tons of people with family back home or people who kept their house and still need to pay mortgage from the local bank account. Thanks!!

Yes you are able to split your salary and keep a percentage in the duty station and another in your home account (or however you wish to split it, some people for example make use of a UNFCU account at the duty station).

To add on Starryhindsight, its possible, you fill a form and indicate the percentage of how you want to split the salary.
