UN Roster

Post by Kokolicious » 07 Nov 2018, 15:36

Hello friends,

What is a roster? How does it work? I recently received an invitation to participate in an assessment for a P-level roster. In the email, the HR specialist stated that the top 20 scorers will become part of the roster for regional and country based positions. Can anyone help me understand how this works?

Hi there,

how did they find you? Where did you express your interest? Just beware that there are many employment scams involving the UN out there...

Not saying this has to be wrong - there are many legitimate rosters out there that pre-screen applicants for very fast deployment when needs arise.
I'm Sebastian from the UN Job List. I know about the UN Job List and also a little about the UN in general.

Thanks Sebastian. I actually applied for it, without knowing it was a roster.

Ah, I see then it’s all good. Ok let’s discuss rosters: they can be really great but also tedious, since there is a wait after a successful process...

Thanks Sebastian. So are the positions full time or some type of consultancies?
