How long to hear back after interview?
Re: How long to hear back after interview?
@Fleurdunil interesting that you interviewed with the hiring manager only not a full panel. Is the position based in the HQ?
Re: How long to hear back after interview?
@dee06 But how do the interviews usually take place? For instance, what could be a scenario for IICA-1, International Individual Contractors Agreement - Junior level at HQ? Thank you.

Dee it was a panel, with the hiring manager, a potential future colleague and someone from HR.

@elena91 I have no experience with the IICA-1 interviews. My understanding is that all interviews in the UN system are with a panel.

@dee06 no problem! I forgot to say that it is not for an HQ post but for a regional post in a regional HQ.

Re: How long to hear back after interview?
Just to give you all an update-today, on the eve of it being nearly 3 weeks since the interview and nearly 3 since my references were asked for, and 2 weeks since my references responded, I was asked to send the scanned copy of my diplomas, numbers for my respective universities and to schedule a language check for my second UN language (I am bilingual so this should be fine). I checked with friends at WFP and they told me that this means that barring any surprises I am the selected candidate. So I'll keep you all updated! I definitely feel relieved.

Re: How long to hear back after interview?
Hi guys, I just wanted you all to know that today shortly before my language test on the phone (which went very well but was indeed quite thorough), I received my offer. I will get a medical checkup Monday so I can confirm the appointment by the deadline end of next week. My start date is in one month because I had indicated that my current contract was ending. Thanks so much for all of the advice.
